Visitor Tickets and Tours

We recommend booking visitor tickets in advance here, although tickets can be purchased on arrival at the Cathedral.

We also offer the option to include a visit to The Stained Glass Museum, housed upstairs in the Cathedral.

Pre-booking is advised if you want to join any of our tours as places are limited. These tours include Octagon Tower Tours, West Tower Tours, and Ground Floor Tours.

How your visit benefits Ely Cathedral

The Cathedral receives no funding from State or Church and we are reliant on the contribution made by our congregation, community and visitors. The upkeep of the Cathedral currently costs £10,000 a day so by purchasing a visitor ticket, you are supporting the running costs and maintenance of the Cathedral and the on-going mission of the Dean and Chapter. Please note everyone is welcome and we will never turn anyone away if they are unable to, or do not wish to, pay to come in.
