Group Visits

We warmly welcome all groups, including special interest groups, student groups and organised tours. Please note advanced booking is essential to ensure the best experience for your group.

Please email our Groups and Visits Co-ordinator or call 01353 660359 for more information and to book, or fill in our Group Booking Enquiry Form and we will be in touch to plan your visit.

We offer preferential rates to groups of 15 or more.

Please note we are only able to accommodate group visits Mondays to Saturdays.

To enhance your group visit:

  • You may wish to include a pre-arranged guided tour, explore the medieval monastery precinct, visit the Stained Glass Museum or book a tower tour.
  • Your visit can be combined with a visit to Oliver Cromwell's House, or with free time to explore the city with its lovely riverside, independent retailers and regular markets.
  • Refreshments and lunches can be booked in advance in the friendly Almonry Restaurant with its medieval vaulting and garden with unparalleled views of the Cathedral.

Coach Parking
There are coach drop off/pick up bays directly outside the main doors of the Cathedral (CB7 4DL).

Free coach parking is located approximately 5 minutes from the city centre at Ellgia Football Club, Downham Road, Ely, CB6 2SH. There are a wide variety of food outlets, toilet facilities and a cinema at this location.
