Discovery Mornings at Ely Cathedral
Join us to discover more about our Cathedral.
Discovery Mornings are opportunities for children and families to come along to the Cathedral and take part in activities to help them discover more about the building, its history, the people that have been here and those who use it today.
They run throughout the year and have themes such as Colour, Victorian Inventors and Icons. Keep up to date with the latest Discovery Morning on this page and through our Facebook Group Ely Cathedral Learning

Discovery Morning: Journeys

Find us in the Cathedral building and upstairs at the Stained Glass Museum.
What will you be doing?
Ely Cathedral Learning are collaborating with the Learning Team at the Stained Glass Museum to host a Discovery Morning all about different types of journeys! Explore adventurous journeys to places near and far. There will be a trail, craft and hands-on activities for all primary school aged children at both venues. Enrich your visit further by visiting the Legacies of the Windrush Exhibition in the SW Transept while you are here.
How do I join in?
This Discovery Morning is included in the normal entrance fees and open to all children. Enter Ely Cathedral via the main entrance (West Door) and we will direct you to the activities. One adult may enter the Stained Glass Museum free of charge when accompanying a child to the Discovery Morning session. Additional adults are subject to the usual entrance fees. There is no need to book a place for the Discovery Morning.
Donations are welcomed to cover the cost of our resources (suggested donation £2 per child). Please contact learning@elycathedral.org if you have any questions.
