Where to find us

Find us in the Bishop's Garden. Enter the Cathedral via the West Door and ask one of our welcomers to direct you to Prior's Door - this is the entrance to the Secret Garden.

What will you be doing?

We'll be reading Once Upon a World fairy tales this year and having fun with creative crafts themed around each story. You'll find garden games, treasure hunts and you might even learn some new songs! This year, visitors will be planting their own fairy tale vegetable garden to grow at home. Storytime will be from 10.45am and the session will end with songs and games. There will be activities for everyone to enjoy and those between ages 0-10 in particular will have a great time exploring them all.

How do I join in?

Tales from the Secret Garden is free of charge and open to all. Simply come to the West Door, there will be someone on hand to show you how to get to the Prior's Door, where you will find the entrance. There is no need to pre-book this activity and there is no charge for joining in, though a suggested donation of £2 per child is gratefully received. What is the Secret Garden Party?

For one week only on Tuesday 29th July between 10.30am to 13.00pm, we will be hosting the Secret Garden Party in the Bishop's Garden. Join us for the Secret Garden activities between 10.30 and 11.30am then stay until 13.00pm to eat a picnic lunch provided by the Lego Cafe team. This event is free of charge and there is no need to book. An additional donation of £2 per child for their food is gratefully received.
