Revd Lynda Davies

Honorary Canon

Revd Canon Lynda Davies has been Rector of the parishes of Cottenham and Rampton, located around five miles north of Cambridge, since 2017. Alongside parish ministry, Revd Canon Lynda serves as the Diocesan Advisor for Women's Ministry (DAWM), advocating for the flourishing and full inclusion of women across all aspects of diocesan life and leadership.

The role combines pastoral support, strategic leadership and advocacy, including serving as a trusted listening ear for women clergy, contributing to diocesan decision-making through membership of the Bishop's Staff Team, and helping to shape policies and practices that promote equity and inclusion. Particular areas of focus include understanding how organisational culture and structures affect opportunities for women, drawing on both data and lived experience to identify barriers, challenge conscious and unconscious bias, and encourage greater gender balance within senior leadership. A commitment to fostering a Church in which all people are able to discern, develop and fulfil their vocation underpins this work.
