Lythan Nevard
Etheldreda Canon
Lythan is the United Reformed Church Moderator for Eastern Synod and became an Etheldreda Ecumenical Canon in 2025. Lythan has been ordained for 33 years and served pastorates in Hartlepool, Romford and Torquay. Just prior to becoming Moderator she served as Minister for Cranbrook – a pioneer role in a new town just outside Exeter.
Lythan studied Religious Studies at Lancaster University, trained at Mansfield College Oxford for URC Ministry and later gained an MA in Pastoral Theology through Westminster College Cambridge.
