Lay Canon
Simon Kershaw has been a lay canon since 2017. He is Chair of the House of Laity of the Ely Diocesan Synod, and also a member of the Liturgical Commission of the Church of England. He is a Licensed Lay Minister in St Ives, where he has lived and worshipped for 40 years and is now retired after spending much of his working life in the computer software industry in Cambridge. He compiles the content for the Church of England’s widely-used Daily Prayer website and app, and is one of a trio that runs the Thinking Anglicans blog.
