Canon Robert Mackley
Canon Pastor
Robert is responsible for pastoral care at Ely Cathedral. He oversees the life of the Cathedral congregation, its fellowship and prayer, our ministry with children and young people, and home communions and sick visiting. He is responsible for baptisms, weddings and funerals. He prepares people for Confirmation and, alongside colleagues, helps those who are new to the Faith or the Cathedral.
As Canon Pastor he oversees our team of Priest Vicars, lay ministers and all who offer pastoral care and hospitality, encouraging a deepening of our Benedictine life. He works with the flower guild, the Mothers’ Union and helps connect together all the groups who enrich the life of Ely Cathedral.
