Canon Francis Burkitt, DL

Francis joined Chapter in 2022. He was born and brought up in Cambridgeshire, and lives with his family in Grantchester.

Francis’s career was in the City of London, where he advised large companies, housing associations, and education and other charities on their finances.

He serves the Ely Diocesan Board of Finance as Chair of the Assets Sub-Committee; is an external member of Trinity College’s Investment Committee; was a South Cambridgeshire District Councillor from 2006–18; and was a non-executive director of the Cambridge Building Society from 2014–19.

He is a Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire.
