Andrea Boardman

Having graduated from University College London with a degree in Pure and Applied Mathematics, I began my professional career as a Commodities Market Analyst. I transitioned into IT global project and programme management, initially for the London Stock Exchange delivering “Big Bang” trading systems and then for Citicorp, Securicor Cash Services and latterly for Domino Printing Sciences.

Having taken early retirement just as lockdown hit, I spent a couple of years as an administrator at the Covid vaccination centres in Cambridge. I have been a Friend of Ely Cathedral since shortly after moving to Ely in November 2005, a member of the Volunteer Welcome team since August 2024 and a volunteer with Ely Community Lunches at Christmas for the last two years.

Ely Cathedral is special to so many people, and for me, being a member of the Friends of Ely Cathedral Council gives me the opportunity to assist in determining how our charity supports the Cathedral financially and in encouraging others to join us.
