Ely and Beyond

There is plenty to see and do in the beautiful, historic city of Ely and surrounding area, whether you are here just for one day, or a long weekend.

One of the smallest Cathedral cities in England, Ely is easy to explore on foot. Highlights include Oliver Cromwell's House, Ely Museum, and the attractive waterside with its antique centre, art gallery, cafes and walks.

The city centre boasts regular weekly markets on Thursdays and Saturdays, including farmers, and craft and collectables markets.

A little further afield, you will find Wicken Fen and Welney Wetland Centre, which offer a real taste of the great natural fen landscape and its wildlife.

The Farmland Museum at Denny Abbey and Prickwillow Drainage Museum will take you back into the area's past.To find out more about the local area, upcoming events, where to eat and where to stay locally, see the Visit Ely website.
