Up for a challenge? Feeling fit? Join our Tower Climb Leader for a new experience at the Cathedral which will see you climbing the 288 steps of the tower and being rewarded with fabulous 360 views from the top.
Take the opportunity to capture some wonderful photos of the surrounding landscape and a few selfies to celebrate making it up there, too!
Please Note: A reasonable level of fitness is required and we advise anyone with any mobility issues or pre-existing health conditions to consider this before booking.
The tower climb experience takes up to 40 minutes (up and down) and requires a good level of fitness and mobility.
Days and Times: Sundays at 1pm, 1.45pm & 2.30pm
Tickets: Adults £7.50, Children £5.50. We cannot accept children under 10 on this climb.
Please note your ticket is for the West Tower Climb experience only and does not include general admission into the Cathedral. Please also purchase a visitor ticket if you wish to combine your Climb with a visit around the Cathedral.
We advise booking in advance on-line prior to your visit and all participants must have read the Terms and Conditions. This climb is not suitable for everyone.
There is a maximum of 12 places per climb.
Please meet your climb leader near the font in the South West Transept of the cathedral 10 minutes before your climb is due to start, as it will start promptly.
For safety reasons Tower Climbs may need to be suspended in extreme weather such as freezing ice or heavy rain. Full refunds will be given plus the option to rebook.
