Ely Cathedral Mothers’ Union

Mothers’ Union is an International Charity with 4 million members in a network of branches in 84 countries. We have been supporting families and communities since 1876. Our members work at a grassroots level bringing hope and support to millions of people every year.

Our vision is a world where everyone prospers.

The Ely Cathedral Mothers’ Union Branch meets on the first Wednesday of each month. Meetings involve prayer, discussion, external speakers and spending time in fellowship.

The branch supports a number of local initiatives including women’s refuge, a Mothers’ Union initiative which allows some stressed families to take a holiday, and the project, Mary’s Child. Their work also involves international Mothers’ Union projects to improve literacy, build self-reliance, and to stimulate women-led enterprise to improve life in under-developed communities.
