GROUP VISITS

ELY CATHEDRAL WELCOMES PRIVATE GROUPS, ORGANISED TOURS AND COACHES.

Ely Cathedral welcomes groups from all round the world, and is a popular place for visits throughout the year. In addition to a guided tour of the cathedral with one of our specialist guides, your group may also choose to explore the medieval monastery precinct, visit the Stained Glass Museum or book a tower tour.

Refreshments and lunches can be booked in advance in the friendly Cathedral Refectory Café or in the Almonry Restaurant with its medieval vaulting and garden with unparalleled views of the cathedral.

Advanced booking is highly recommended for all groups and coach parties, so we can tailor-make a visit that meets your requirements. We offer preferential rates to pre-booked groups of 15 or more. Please use our 'on-line booking form', or contact our Groups and Visits Co-ordinator on 01353 660359 or by email: ku/gro/lardehtacyle//stisiv.

Many groups combine a visit to Ely Cathedral with a tour of Oliver Cromwell's House, or with free time to explore the city with its lovely riverside, independent retailers and regular markets.

Just 12 miles north of Cambridge, Ely is easily accessible from London, the Midlands and the East of England. There are coach drop off/pick up bays directly outside the main doors of the Cathedral (CB7 4DL), and in Barton Road car park (CB7 4DX), just a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral. From May 2017, coach parking is located at Lancaster Way Business Park (CB6 3NW), only a few minutes' drive from the city centre.

Coach Drivers are entitled to free entry into the Cathedral plus complimentary tea, coffee and cake in the Cathedral Refectory Café.

Visitors with disabilities are welcomed. Ramps are located at the entrances and throughout the Cathedral where applicable. There are a small number of wheelchairs inside the Cathedral for use by disabled visitors however we regret we cannot guarantee their availability and it is not possible to book a wheelchair in advance.
