MAKE A GIFT

Single gift

You can download, complete and return to us our Donation Form. This gives you the option to donate by cheque or debit/credit card.

You can also make a single or regular gift online using the tool below:

You can use your mobile phone and send us a text donation. This allows you to make a gift from £1 - £10 each time you text and Gift Aid it if you are a UK taxpayer. The amount will appear on your mobile phone bill or via your Pay As You Go tariff, and Ely Cathedral receives 100% of your gift.

Regular gift

Some people choose to express their generosity and support for the Cathedral by giving a regular gift. Donations can be made monthly or annually and can be as small or as large as you wish. Regular gifts assist the Cathedral with effective budgeting and with planning future activities. Here are the ways you can support the Cathedral through a regular gift:

You can download, complete and return to us our Regular Donations Form

You can join the Cathedral's membership group, The Order of St Etheldreda

You can pay as you earn through your employer's Payroll Giving scheme, if they have this.

Sponsor our events, programmes and projects

Sponsorship helps us to reduce our costs and direct precious resources to our core mission of worship, outreach, welcome and care. We are happy to recognise our sponsor partners in a variety of ways. Further information available soon.

Make your donation go further with Gift Aid

If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid will increase the value of your donation to Ely Cathedral by allowing us to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift. For every £1 donated, the Cathedral can claim 25 pence of tax at no additional cost to you, therefore a gift of £100 is worth £125 to Ely Cathedral once tax is reclaimed.

Higher rate tax payers can also benefit from tax relief by claiming back the difference between the higher rates of tax at 40 or 45 per cent and the basic rate of tax at 20 per cent on the total value of their gross donation.
