TRAVELLING TO ELY CATHEDRAL

THE CITY OF ELY IS LOCATED IN THE EAST OF ENGLAND, JUST 12 MILES NORTH OF CAMBRIDGE AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY CAR AND BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT.

By rail:
Ely has many direct rail connections, including with London Kings Cross, Peterborough, Stansted Airport, Norwich and Birmingham. Ely Cathedral is a 10 minute walk from the station. There is a taxi rank at the station.

By road:
Main road routes serving Ely include the A10 and A142 (linking with the M11, A1 and A14). Ely Cathedral's post code is CB7 4DL.

Car parking (free of charge in the city centre) is available in and around Ely, with most of the car parks a 5 or 10 minute walk from the Cathedral.

Barton Road Car Park, Forehill Car Park and Ship Lane Car Park all offer free, all day parking after 8.30am.

Please be aware that on Saturdays and during the summer season, the car parks can get very busy.

There are coach drop off/pick up bays directly outside the main doors of the Cathedral (CB7 4DL), and in Barton Road car park (CB7 4DX) which is only a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral.

Free coach parking is located at Ellgia Football Club, Downham Road,(CB6 2SH). It is approximately 5 minutes drive from the city centre and directly adjoins Ely Leisure Centre which offers a selection of food outlets and toilets facilities.
