4pm Sunday Evensong

Because of the continued care that needs to be taken during this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, you must please book a seat if you wish to attend so that we can maintain a safe number and comply with Government guidelines around Track and Trace.

· Seats in the Cathedral will be socially distanced and in pairs. So one booking will be for a pair of seats (2)
· If you book as a couple, PLEASE only make one booking (that will allocate you a pair of seats)
· If you are booking just for yourself, again make one booking and in the Cathedral you will sit in one seat and have a vacant seat next to you
· If you are a family make a booking for the number of pairs of seats you will need

Entrance will be by the West and South doors, but please remain socially distanced at all times, especially if there is any sort of queue as you come in or leave. You will be asked to use hand sanitiser when you come in.

· A service sheet will be placed on your seat and you are asked to take this away with you and dispose of it yourself
· There will sadly, be no congregational singing for the time being.
· For Eucharistic services, Holy Communion will be administered by the president coming to you in your seat (to ease the management of socially distanced queueing)

Government guidelines ask that people leave the Cathedral in a socially distanced manner at the end of the service and do not remain for conversation etc. Clergy may be at the doors, but unfortunately this will not be an opportunity for extended social discourse!

It is now a legal requirement that face coverings are worn by all those attending a place of worship, including ministers, worshippers, staff, volunteers, contractors and visitors.

With this in mind we would like to suggest that worshippers, staff, clergy and all those who are physically involved in a service comply with these guidelines. We appreciate that some may have good reason for not being able to do so, and we stress that wearing a face mask is not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing.

We thank you for your understanding and we look forward to welcoming you.
