CHRISTIAN AID WEEK 2021

Christian Aid Week 10-16 May

For the second successive year there will be no house to house collection in Ely, though Christian Aid needs donations more than ever to carry out its relief work.

As climate change becomes ever more a reality to people already struggling to survive, its work is more important than ever. it is not just that people who have contributed least to climate change, pollution and loss of biodiversity suffer most from their effects.

Donations can be made in a number of ways:

1. Online through our e-envelope https://envelope.christianaid.org.uk/envelope/elychurches

2. Put a cheque or cash donation in one of the envelopes which will be included with the service booklets on Sundays 9 and 16 May. These can be put in the red collecting buckets at the south and west doors on those Sundays.

3. Send a cheque directly to Christian Aid, PO Box 109, London SE1 7RT, but note that processing cheques is time consuming for CA staff.

Ahead of the G7 talks in Cornwall in June and the international Climate Change talks in Glasgow this November (COP26), Christian Aid is conducting a campaign to ensure that our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, knows that we care about these issues. Join in the 'Send a postcard' campaign - details at https://www.christianaid.org.uk/get-involved/campaigns/g7-climate-finance-postcard-action.

For more information please contact John Marshall (01353 664927 or ku/oc/oohay//86llahsramrdnaj), or for any issues with the e-envelope contact Jenny Gage (07515 732687 or gro/lardehtacyle//egag/j).
