Visitor Wellbeing

In order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our worshippers, visitors, staff and volunteers we have decided to keep a number of measures in place.

All visitor tickets should be booked in advance. This will minimise contact and help us safely manage capacity in the building. Full details of our opening times and how to book tickets can be found here.

Our staff and volunteers will continue to wear face masks and we encourage visitors to wear face coverings unless they are exempt.

We will continue to ask visitors to respect other people in the building and continue to follow social distancing recommendations.

We will continue to carry out additional cleaning of high contact areas of the cathedral throughout the day.

Our Guided Tours (including Tower Tours and Ground Floor Tours) will continue but additional precautions may be imposed depending on the number of participants.

Hand sanitiser will still be available for people to use as they enter and exit the cathedral and at various points inside.

Please help us to keep everyone safe by not visiting Ely Cathedral if you have been asked/are required to self-isolate.

Ely Cathedral has been awarded the Visit England industry standard and consumer mark to reassure you that we adhere to Government and public health guidance for your visit.
