Ely Cathedral is opening to Worshippers, Pilgrims and Visitors - Booking is essential. See below for further details:

Ely Cathedral has resumed public worship on Sundays for the 10.30am Eucharist.

Advanced booking for the Sunday Eucharist has been introduced to keep everyone safe and to manage numbers. The easiest way to reserve a place at a service is to book online here. For enquiries by phone, please call 01353 667735, Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm.

You can now also attend Morning Prayer followed by a Eucharist at 7.30am and 8am. No advance booking is required for these services but we ask everyone to respect the current regulations. Access for Morning Prayer and the Eucharist is through the South door of the Cathedral. There will be no access via the West Door.

Digital worship and other online services will continue to be streamed via YouTube.

Advanced booking for the Sunday EucharistSpeaking about the re-opening, The Very Revd Mark Bonney, Dean of Ely said,
'Ely Cathedral was built to the glory of God and for the worship of God, so the resumption of public worship here is an occasion of huge significance and of immense joy. In the weeks ahead all are welcome to join one of our services as we give thanks for all we've learned, grieve for all we've lost, and commit ourselves to our shared future with hope.'

The Cathedral opens to visitors on Wednesday 29 July. There are two bookable entry slots, 10am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm. The latest you will be able to enter the Cathedral is 3.30pm and all visitors will need to leave by 4pm. We will have limited visitor tickets available for each slot so pre-booking is essential. We regret that we are not able to offer West or Octagon Tower Tours. Please note the Cathedral will only be open on Sundays for public worship and we are unable to accommodate visitors on Sundays until further notice.

Advanced booking is essential and introduced to help manage numbers and maintain social distancing. Extensive cleaning and Covid-19 Safety measures are also in place. We are delighted that Ely Cathedral has achieved Visit Britain's 'Good to Go' COVID-19 industry standard for attractions, confirming that clear processes are in place to protect the safety of all.
