SCIENCE FESTIVAL - NIGHT AT THE CATHEDRAL WITH GRAND OPENING

20 May 2019 7pm - 9pm

As part of the Science Festival we are hosting two spectacular opening evenings in the Cathedral for you to discover how science will shape our future.

Let your imagination wander as you have the opportunity to explore the numerous Science Festival exhibits including meteors and space suits under the spectacular 'Museum of the Moon' suspended from the Nave ceiling. There will be the opportunity to participate in interactive displays including Robotics, Meteorites, Space Science and Molecular Biology. Visitors will be encouraged to handle some of the exciting range of rocks from the moon, on loan from the Science and Technology Funding Council (STFC) and explore key topics such as space travel through interactive exhibits around the Cathedral. One of the highlights is a 20 minute tour of the night sky inside a six metre wide 'Star Dome' belonging to the National Space Centre.* Other attractions include refreshments and a science themed musical performance.

*There will be a charge of £5 for the Star Dome. Tickets available soon... Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult
