Self: Magnificat
Duruflé: Requiem

For the past two years, North Sea Voices and Orchestra, together with superb chamber choir Ely Collegium, have thrilled audiences with their moving renditions of popular choral repertoire such as Fauré's Requiem and Vivaldi's magnificent Gloria.

Ely composer Dr. Susannah Self has also premièred her stunning major new works, Sea Requiem and Stabat Mater, both rapturously received. A new première will be given in this exceptional concert, of her latest choral masterpiece, the Magnificat. This will be paired with Duruflé's ever-popular Requiem, one of the finest choral works of the 20th Century.

You are recommended to book early to avoid disappointment, as tickets for this event have sold out for the last two years, and seats are limited.

Come and enjoy the Lady Chapel's superb acoustic resounding to two superb choral works.

Tickets: £15 (front), £10 (back) unreserved.

Sea Requiem was a substantial score, yet the material flowed naturally… the extended silence which followed this conclusion…. was a tribute to the audience’s rapt concentration and the cumulative effect of Susannah Self’s fervent, directly expressive music." — Paul Conway, Musical Opinion 2023
