Learning Lates are back for 2026 and this time we are discovering more about what the monks of Ely did with their time over a glass (or two!) of fizz.
You’ll be finding out about the daily rhythms of the medieval monastery before trying your hand at some of the jobs the monks did such as candle making, illuminating letters and creating herbal cures.
You’ll find out how the monks communicated during their silent meals, but we won’t make you stay completely silent as you enjoy your monastic cheese samplers with wine, provided and explained by the wonderful Victoria from Victoria’s Cheese.
Tickets: £20 per person.
Entry via the main west doors, and meet in the North Transept for 6.15pm.
