TREASURE ISLAND Open Air Production - The Deans Garden (Ely Cathedral)

Ahoy there shipmates! Join us on a swashbuckling 'social distanced' adventure this summer, open air in The Dean's Garden, Ely Cathedral!

Join Long John Silver and his jolly crew as they set sail to the Isle of Ely to find the buried treasure which lies beneath the depths of the Ancient Ely Cathedral! Will the evil Sea Witch foil their plans and get to the treasure before them?

With barrels of laughter, gallons of slapstick, and spectacular variety acts, don't miss out on this theatrical extravaganza against Ely's most iconic backdrop!

Production Information

How do we get into the Dean's Garden?
Access to the Dean's Garden is via the Almonry Gardens on the Ely High Street or via the East Lawn of the Ely Cathedral. There will be signs to follow. There will be a one-way system in and out of the garden via the main gates. When cueing for the garden, please adhere to the social distancing markers.

Please note that Disabled access is via the East Lawn.

Keeping you safe!
Please bring your tickets via phone or print out. All tickets will be scanned upon entry by our friendly front of house team. When you arrive, each family or booking will be given a designated area assigned to keep a distance from other parties. Please adhere to social distancing at all times. Hand sanitation facilities will be readily available. If you show symptoms of Covid-19 please stay away. Track and trace information will be taken at the time of booking. Flat shoes and face coverings are advisable.

Is there Parking?
There is no parking on site, however the nearest car parks are Forehill Car Park and St Mary's Street Car Park.

Can we bring Picnics?
We welcome audience members to enjoy the gardens pre-show and bring their own picnics. There will be NO bar on site, so please bring your own drinks. Bins shall be provided for rubbish.

Will there be chairs?
We encourage audience members to bring their own seating (chairs, picnic blankets). There will be NO seats available on site.

What time can we arrive?
The gates will be open one hour prior to the performance.
Doors open at 5pm for 6pm Evening Performances.
Doors open at 1pm for 2pm Matinees.

How long is the performance?
The performance is one act and will last approx. 1 hour.

Will the weather effect the performance?
The performance will be taking place unless you have been notified otherwise. If it rains, we do encourage you to bring umbrellas and coats. Performances will only be cancelled if extreme weather conditions are deemed dangerous for the production to take place. We will refund or exchange your tickets, should a performance be cancelled by us.

What happens if the performance in cancelled due to local lock down?
If there is a COVID-19 break out and a local lockdown means we have to cancel the event, we will refund or exchange your tickets.
