ISLE OF ELY ARTS FESTIVAL FUNDRAISING CONCERT - CLARE HAMMOND - PIANIST

This colourful and inspired musical journey in celebration of the Isle of Ely Arts Festival includes works from Schubert, Mendelssohn and Rimsky-Korsakov.

Acclaimed as a pianist of "amazing power and panache" (The Telegraph), Clare Hammond is recognised for the virtuosity and authority of her performances and has developed a "reputation for brilliantly imaginative concert programmes" (BBC Music Magazine, 'Rising Star').

In 2016, she won the Royal Philharmonic Society's 'Young Artist Award' in recognition of outstanding achievements. Highlights that year included a performance at the Royal Festival Hall with the Philharmonia.

The evening's programme will include:
Franz Schubert - Four Impromptus, D. 899
Felix Mendelssohn - 'Presto' ("The Bee's Wedding")
Edmund Finnis - Youth
Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - Flight of the Bumble-Bee
Claude Debussy - Selection from Préludes
Ewan Campbell - Flight of the Killer Bee
Igor Stravinsky - Trois mouvements de Petroushka
