A Special Place Exhibition

9 March 2022

Entry to the exhibition, located in the South West Transept of the Cathedral is free. For entry to the rest of the Cathedral a Visitor Ticket is required.

A Special Place - A Textile Art Exhibition by FIVE Textile Group.

9 - 28 March, during Cathedral opening hours

We all have a secret somewhere to go to for comfort, inspiration or happiness. In this exhibition, five textile artists explore their own inspirational locations.

This fascinating collection of work ranges from handmade felt to goldwork through mixed media to quilting, all exquisitely executed. The work is based on local gardens and faraway places. Many of the exhibits will be available to purchase.

Barbara Deacon, Cheryl Montgomery, Elaine Grahame, Jane Robinson and Suzanne Ball have worked together for ten years. This is their third group exhibition, after previous successful exhibitions in Worthing & Milton Keynes.

Meet the Artists

The artists will be at the Exhibition on Saturday 12 March, Saturday 19 March & Saturday 26 March, from 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm (different artists on different days).

Covid Safety

The wellbeing and safety of everyone coming to Ely Cathedral is of the upmost importance. Whilst face masks are no longer compulsory, we encourage all staff, volunteers and anyone attending a service, event or concert wear a face mask inside the building (unless exempt) and please use the hand sanitiser stations located at key points around the Cathedral.
