A Medieval Christmas

4 December 2021 - 18 December 2021

Saturday 4 December, 10.30am & Saturday 18 December, 3pm

An interactive event for children exploring Christmas celebrations and traditions in medieval times.

Join medieval cooks Ellyn, Mabel and Alys in the Lady Chapel as they get prepared for Christmas at the Bishop’s Palace. They’ll be preparing food, discussing plans and making decorations whilst they lay out a fantastic feast. Find out all about how Christmas was celebrated in medieval times, and how much of it we still do! You’ll be able to get involved in the preparations too by making your own gingerbread and creating your own Christmas decorations.

This event is best suited to children aged 7+. We would be grateful if each child was accompanied by no more than one adult.

Tickets: £7.50 per child.
