Ribe Kammerkor is a mixed chamber choir of about 30 voices, from Ely's twin Cathedral city of Ribe in Denmark. The Kammerkor was established in 1975 by Mogens Melbye, the former organist at the Cathedral and in 2015 was formally linked to the Cathedral. At the same time Lotte Glaesel, the precentor of the Cathedral, became its Director.

In this lunchtime concert the choir will sing a range of music from the 16th Century to the present day including pieces by Gade, Hassler, Palestrina, Dyrst, Nielsen and Langgaard.

The concert will be one of two the Ribe Kammerkor will be performing during their visit to Ely. In the second, Ely Choral Society and Ribe Kammerkor join together to celebrate the shared musical heritage of the twinned cities of Ely and Ribe in Denmark. The programme includes music from both countries, and the choirs, under the direction of Lotte Bille Glęsel and Andrew Parnell, will sing separately as well as together.
