LUNCHTIME CONCERT - JULIE BALE (SOPRANO) JOHN WYATT (PIANO)

Julie's career as an opera singer and concert performer has seen her perform music from Bach to Wagner all over the UK.

On the operatic stage her highlights include Leonore Fidelio (Cover) for Dorset Opera and Leonore Fidelio for Opera Herts, conducted by Phillip Thomas, for whom she also sang Musetta La Bohème. Other operatic engagements have included Alice Ford Falstaff, Donna Anna Don Giovanni, Leonora Il Trovatore and Freia in a workshop performance of excerpts of Das Rheingold with Sir Donald McIntyre.

She has performed extensively on the concert platform throughout the UK, she was the soprano soloist for the second only UK performance of the Messa Per Rossini and continues to perform major Choral works such as Verdi's Requiem, Brahms Requiem, Carmina Burana and Vaughan Williams Dona Nobis Pacem.

As a conductor Julie leads a number of choirs and Choral societies in Hertfordshire.

She studied Music and German at Oxford Brookes University and Goldsmith's College, University of London and an ARCM diploma from the Royal College of Music. She studies singing and vocal pedagogy with Janice Chapman and Dame Josephine Barstow and Conducting with Amy Bebbington.
