Come and sit under the light of the silvery moon and experience the big band sound of 78RPM Big Band with special guest jazz vocalist, Joanna Eden. Described by TimeOut magazine as 'The UK's answer to Diana Krall and Norah Jones' Joanna has performed original jazz influenced music all over the world and has supported world-class artists including Jamie Cullum and Ronan Keating. Joanna's 'sharp-witted and well-crafted' music is regularly featured on BBC Radio 2 and she is credited as a former teacher of international star and Grammy Award winning singer Sam Smith.

Featuring a fantastic selection of swing and modern standards including Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald; pop from David Bowie and Van Morrison; popular film themes from far-flung galaxies; new arrangements of classic favourites from Holst and Strauss and some surprises that will delight an audience of all ages.

Formed in 1990, the 78 RPM Big Band dominates the jazz, blues and funk scene in Cambridge. With their showmanship and energetic style, performances are definitely not to be missed. The individual musicians have impressive credentials with varied and interesting backgrounds. They have a wealth of experience in live performing, coming from the QE2 and the Canberra, have featured in numerous radio and TV broadcasts and have played with Mark Rattray, Luke Goss, Bernie Marsden and Colin Blunstone, The Drifters, Shakatak and Katrina and the Waves.
