On Sunday 5 February Churches and Cathedrals around the country will be holding a 'Green' Communion Service as part of the Eco-Church scheme organised by the Christian Environmental Charity 'A Rocha' and supported by the Church of England's Environmental Campaign.

Parts of the liturgy have been written by the Precentor of Canterbury Cathedral where there will also be a Green Communion Service. The idea is that on this day Christian's celebrate the simple, yet profound truth that the gospel is good news for God's earth.

Here at Ely we will be holding a 'Green' Sung Eucharist. The preacher will be Canon Victoria Johnson, who is a member of the Church of England's Environmental Working Group.
