The Octagon Tower at Ely Cathedral

Careers

Ely Cathedral is a living, thriving place of worship. We also welcome thousands of visitors a year as well as being a high profile venue for concerts, exhibitions, filming and hospitality. We employ over 100 staff who are supported by more than 200 dedicated volunteers.

Ely Cathedral is committed to equality of opportunity and to an inclusive approach to equality, which supports and encourages under-represented groups, promotes an inclusive culture, and values diversity.

We believe that diversity strengthens and enriches us, and are committed to Ely Cathedral playing our part in making the Church of England more diverse and more equal. To this end, we aim to diversify our staff and particularly welcome applications from anybody with a UK minority ethnic background, and from people with disabilities.

We are required by law to ensure all staff have the right to work in the United Kingdom and if you are offered a post, we will ask you to bring proof of this. Some of our vacancies are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and all new staff are required to complete online training on safeguarding. Each job description sets out the level of safeguarding training required for that role. Details about DBS checks and any training required are provided when a job offer is made.

Due to the volume of applications we receive it is possible only to contact shortlisted candidates about the outcome of their application. If you have not been invited to attend an interview within two weeks of the closing date then please assume your application has been unsuccessful. Thank you for your understanding and for your interest in working at Ely Cathedral.
