Concert and Events Administrator (part time)

21 Hours per week, the role will include an average of 2 working evening / weekend days a month

Salary £14,640 (FTE £24,401)

This is a relatively new position to support our Event Manager with our full and varied programme of concerts, along with some support for our larger scale events at Ely Cathedral.

Your role will combine event preparations and on-site event management, including administration and running the box office and ticketing services for each event. The postholder will be required to work some evenings and weekend days each month, on a rota basis.

As this is a significant customer-facing role, the ideal candidate should have excellent customer service and communication skills and previous experience in event / concert management, as they will be dealing with event attendees, third party hirers and contractors. The successful candidate should also have strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail, as the role includes event communications, digital marketing, meeting organisation and creating event schedules.

As the role includes access to personal data and mailing lists, the candidate should have an awareness of GDPR and data protection, although training will be given.

Retail Assistant (part time)

Ely Cathedral is widely acknowledged as one of the finest Cathedrals in Europe. Highly regarded by historians and architects for its beauty and size, it is often the only UK buildings to be listed as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Medieval World’. Attracting over 250,000 visitors a year, as well as hosting over 50 events, it is an innovative and exciting place to work.

We are looking for two highly organised and enthusiastic individuals to undertake the role of Retail Assistant under our trading arm, Ely Cathedral Enterprises Ltd, to offer both shop floor and occasional administrative support to the retail business at Ely Cathedral.

Experience in retail, including excellent communication skills, experience of using a POS system and general administrative skills would be an advantage. The candidates would need to be self-motivated and dedicated to help the businesses move forward in line with the ethos of Ely Cathedral. The roles will include assisting with restocking displays and moving stock.
