Zanzibar Cathedral needs our help

ZANZIBAR CATHEDRAL NEEDS OUR HELP

Last month, Zanzibar Cathedral compound suffered extensive flooding from a heavy storm. The Cathedral stands on the site of the former slave market, where the dungeons are still to be seen, along with an iconic memorial to the slaves. The compound is also home to St Monica's primary school and housing for Cathedral staff. All these features will have been affected by the flooding, to a greater or lesser extent, just at a time when the Cathedral's operating funds are exhausted.

Ely Cathedral has for many years been proud to support the work of Zanzibar Cathedral, so we urge you now to consider making a special donation to help our friends in Zanzibar to restore the compound to good order.

You may do this by sending a donation through Ely Cathedral, by cheque or by donating online.

On behalf of Zanzibar Cathedral, we welcome your gift.
