The Mothers’ Union (MU) is the UK's largest Christian charity.....
'Its purpose is to be specially concerned with all that strengthens and preserves marriage and Christian family life.
As an Anglican-led worldwide organisation, they have more than 3.6 million members in 76 countries.'
In the Diocese of Ely we actively seek to provide support and care for families, both in local communities and through our links around the world.
Through our work people can experience the love of Christ, and discover or develop a personal relationship with God.
Caring for families in this diocese involves us in, for instance:
Running Parenting groups,
Providing holidays for stressed families,
Cambridge & Ely Child Contact Centres,
Visitors' Centres at Littlehey and Whitemoor Prisons,
Oakington Immigration Reception Centre,
Cambridge Women's Aid and Huntingdon Refuge.
Through prayer and fellowship we in the diocese support members in five linked dioceses - Juba, Maridi, Yambio & Yei in Sudan and Kigali in Rwanda.
