Children under 16 are admitted free of charge if visiting with parents/carers, but pay the concessionary rate if visiting as part of a group.

You can exchange your admissions ticket for a free pass for the next 12 months. Ask at one of the Admission Desks before you leave.

There is no charge if you are attending a service, coming to the Cathedral specifically to pray, visiting on a Sunday, or before 9am and after 5pm.

We will never turn anyone away because they are unable to pay. Please discuss this with a member of the Admissions team.

Ely Cathedral Residents Pass - If you live in the CB6 or CB7 postal area you are entitled to a free pass to Ely Cathedral. Passes are issued from the Admissions Desks inside the Cathedral. Please bring proof of identity and proof of residence (e.g. a recent household bill/drivers licence/bank statement). The Residents Pass gives you free access to the ground floor of the Cathedral. This pass is valid for two years, is for the named individual only and non-transferable.

Ely Cathedral Parish Pass - Parish passes are available to everyone who is a member of the electoral roll of a church that is within the diocese of Ely. The passes are available for the named pass holder only and are not transferrable. Pass holders are entitled to free entry to the Cathedral. This is for standard admission only. This pass is valid until 2020 after which re-application will be necessary.
