Children under 16 are admitted free of charge if visiting with parents/carers, but pay the concessionary rate if visiting as part of a group.

You can exchange your admissions ticket for a free pass for the next 12 months. Ask at one of the Admission Desks before you leave.

There is no charge if you are attending a service, coming to the Cathedral specifically to pray, visiting on a Sunday, or before 9am and after 5pm.

We will never turn anyone away because they are unable to pay. Please discuss this with a member of the Admissions team.

Ely Cathedral Residents Pass - If you live in the CB6 or CB7 postal area you are entitled to a free pass to Ely Cathedral. Passes are issued from the Admissions Desks inside the Cathedral. Please bring proof of identity and proof of residence (e.g. a recent household bill/drivers licence/bank statement). The Residents Pass gives you free access to the ground floor of the Cathedral. This pass is valid for two years, is for the named individual only and non-transferable.

Ely Cathedral Parish Pass - If you are a regular worshipper at a church within the Diocese of Ely you are entitled to a free pass to Ely Cathedral. Please ask your vicar or parish priest for an application form and to confirm you are on the electoral. This pass is valid for five years, is for the named individual only and non-transferable.
