"There are worlds beyond politics: Lucy Cavendish Singers... Delirious aural bliss!" Andrew Marr

A stunning programme of classical, sacred and traditional music - interspersed with some lighter, contemporary pieces - woven together around the theme of Devotion. Performing entirely from memory, the Lucy Cavendish Singers' distinctive voices combine to create an intense choral sound. From the haunting beauty of a Hildegard von Bingen chant and Verdi's glorious Hymn to the Virgin, to Michael McGlynn's inspired arrangement of the Celtic melody Jerusalem - the Singers' programme is guaranteed to provide an intensely enjoyable experience for the audience.

The Lucy Cavendish Singers were founded at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge in 2008 by their Director Katharina Megli. Members include fellows and alumnae of Lucy Cavendish College as well as of other members of Cambridge University and singers drawn from the wider community.
