ORGAN RECITAL - A GERMAN ORGAN MASS

A rare complete performance of Bach's monumental German Organ Mass, presented as a meditation for Lent. This magnificent work is both a dazzling display of musical skill and a deep personal statement of faith, containing some of Bach's finest writing for organ in a huge variety of styles.

You are invited to come for as much or as little as you are able, sitting in the Nave or the Quire of the Cathedral as you wish. Free programmes will be available with detailed but easy-to-read notes to guide listeners through the music.

Tea and coffee will be served after the concert, which finishes at around 8.35pm.
