SECONDARY SCHOOL VISITS

"WE AIM TO MAKE THE CATHEDRAL ACCESSIBLE TO YOUNG PEOPLE, BOTH AS A BUILDING AND AS A LIVING COMMUNITY OF FAITH"

We can offer bespoke visits to suit your needs (and exam board), particularly supporting the History and RS Curriculums. The following suggestions should give you an idea of what we can offer.

  • Sacred Space - the Cathedral as a Christian Places of Worship, exploring the features, symbolism and ritual of worship. This can include a Q+A with a member of the clergy. This can be tailored to suit an exam specification
  • Norman England - featuring prominently on many exam board specifications at GCSE and A Level. Come and tour this lasting example of Norman Architecture, learn about Hereward the Wake and his last stand and how the Normans have left a lasting impression in Ely
  • Reflection Days - choose from a series of workshop sessions to help all your students to pause and reflect in this awesome space

"We all had a fantastic day and I feel that the experience will provide an excellent stimulus for RS lessons during the rest of the half-term".

"All great, well-pitched and paced, the students really liked it all, have learnt and experienced lots and have produced some thoughtful work back in school."

"I was truly fascinated by everything I saw and learnt. I saw lots of things I've never noticed before. I really enjoyed the trip and thank you to everyone who organised it."
