The Cathedral Education Department is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge for its work with young people.
The Quality Badge was launched in 2009 by the Council for the Learning outside the Classroom as part of a national initiative to ensure young people are given more opportunities to have high quality learning experiences outside the classroom.
The Badge is designed to make it easier for teachers to identify providers of quality educational visits. We will display the badge as a signal to schools that we have met required standards of education and safety so that teachers do not need to carry out their own risk or quality assessments.
Educational visits are among the most memorable experiences in a child's school life. We are really pleased to get official recognition for our work and I feel very privileged to work with the quality colleagues who have made this award possible.
Cathedral Education Officer.
